Veggie Prints

I've finally got around to updated our blog.  I hope to be more diligent throughout this year.

In class we were experimenting with using vegetables to paint.  The students were given a variety of vegetables, paint and paper.  They came up with some lovely creations.  Check out our Veggie Prints.

Beautiful Butterflies

We've been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly.  Starting out as a tiny egg on a leaf . . . a hungry, growing caterpillar . . . hanging as a pupa . . .

Enjoying the Sunshine

With the prospect of a cloudy, rainy week, we decided to head outside while the sun was shining and the sky was blue.  For the past two days, we've ditched our regular routine and worked on our gross motor skills. The students were busy playing soccer, swinging, climbing, digging, playing hopscotch, drawing with sidewalk chalk and creating their own imaginative games.  Another class joined us on the playground and included us in their games and activities.  It was wonderful!

Welcome to our new class blog!

I'm hoping to keep you updated on some of our classroom activities on this page.  Watch for student quotes and pictures of classroom activities.  It's a work in progress, so keep checking back.

Mrs. Williams

June 2011

Congratulations to the following students who received awards at our Celebration Assembly on May 31.  Alex, Adam, Elijah, Cali and Payton have all "mastered good manners".

As usual, we are preparing for another busy month at school.  Please check your child's agenda daily as there may be additions, changes and cancellations.

May 2011

Congratulations to Alex, Adam and Cali!  They all received awards at our last Celebration Assembly.

It is hard to believe that it will soon be May.  We have many special activities coming up.  Please check your child's agenda daily so that they can fully participate in school activities.
